Bellendena Ski Club was founded in 1978. The lodge boasts accommodation for up to 50 people, including a large open plan bunk room and two family rooms, a large living/dining area with a central wood heater and double kitchen, and a drying room for the winter months. Ben Lomond is without mains power and to combat this, the club has installed a 12 volt solar lighting system throughout the lodge, and hot water is provided by the wood heater.
The lodge is nestled on the lower side of the village street and overlooks the valley south to Fingal and North to Jacobs Ladder.
During summer Ben Lomond is full of wildlife, including wallabies, wombats and quolls, whilst an abundance of alpine wildflowers appears across the national park.
In winter come and experience a snowy wonderland which provides fun for people of all ages.
Relax by the fire with a good book, explore the thousands of hectares of national park on foot or tackle the slopes and all this is only a short trip from Launceston.
